Tune In Thursday for a Special Announcement

I’ve been working on something brand new with Wolfgang Croskey, and it’s time to share it with the world.

Register here to watch the special live announcement this coming Thursday at 3pm Eastern (noon Pacific).

[Unrelated, but the latest episode of my property management podcast Owner Occupied was just released, with Wolf as the guest.]

After some hard bargaining, I was able to secure a $150 discount for YOU to attend the most exciting new event in our industry - the LeadSimple user summit, AKA LeadSimple University.

Escape chilly December with me, and learn from industry experts about how to get the most out of LeadSimple — in warm & friendly Austin!

There are fewer than 25 spots left, so if you’re on the fence I suggest moving quickly. This discount expires in 1 week if tickets aren’t already gone by then.

This will be my first ever keynote presentation, by the way — I’ll be going deep on how to create processes that people actually want to use. And just look at the speaker lineup…

This week’s issue is sponsored by: Obie.

The new standard in landlord insurance.

The old way of purchasing insurance—hours of phone calls and days of waiting—doesn’t work anymore. Your clients need to be able to get insurance quotes for rental properties quickly, so they can grow their portfolios and protect their investments.

That’s why Obie offers embeddable instant insurance integrations for property management providers. Now, you can enable your customers to get insurance quotes from Obie on your own website, instantly.

Less wasted time for your clients. More trust in your company as the expert in all things property management.

With Obie, you can take away the hassle of insurance for your customers while growing your business. Connect with Obie’s partnership team to start the conversation.

Does Your Business Have a Strategy?

I need to highlight this excerpt from an article written by my friend Jon Matzner (Jon is my partner in Property Management Business in a Box):

I’ve never seen the idea of strategy laid out quite so clearly. And as I think about those three categories as it relates to my property management company, I’m realizing that, unfortunately, we’re attempting all three at the same time! That can’t be ideal.

I can’t wait to dig into the book that Jon is pulling from here, and learn more about how to develop an effective business strategy.

Jon’s article goes on to discuss how to think about your strategy with global talent (RTMs), so it’s well worth reading the full issue (give him a subscribe while you’re at it).

Learning from Multifamily Thought Leaders

There’s an entire world of multifamily property management (think 100+ unit apartment buildings) that operates on a parallel trajectory to our own industry.

I wander over there from time to time, and one of my favorite thinkers & writers in that space is Mike Whaling, the founder of 30 Lines, a marketing agency in the multifamily space.

Here’s a great article he recently wrote on the value of connected data to residents:

That’s all for this week! -Peter
