This product launch by the gang at LeadSimple is a big. deal.

Zoom out with me for a moment. Think about our industry as a whole. Frankly, how incredibly stupid was it that until a week ago, there was no easy way to automatically start a basic lease renewal process, 90 days prior to the lease expiration?

And there was no easy way to automatically start a rent collection process if rent was still unpaid after the 5th of the month?

This stuff should have been built into the first generation of web-based property management accounting software. Day one. What an incredible oversight.

I believe it all stems from existing property management software being accounting-centric, when what we need as property managers is workflow-centric software. In any case, LeadSimple is making it possible — and with direct integrations to the major PM softwares (AppFolio and Buildium), there’s a lot to be thankful for. That’s enough complaining from me!
